My daughters pic and my other one we all did together...
My tattoo comes from a design that me and my children came up with. It is an ankle bracelet that wraps around my leg down to my foot. The bracelet is a tree branch and the charms are my three children's hand and foot prints from their birth certificate.
The cherry blossoms are half bloomed and some are still not open symbolizing they are still growing and so is my love for them. They are 8 yrs, 7 yrs, and 2 yrs. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and thought it was a great way to have my kids with me always. I love it so much and they helped design it and picked the colors to go on it.
It took about 6 hrs to do (with breaks). My artist is a personal friend. I am now thinking of doing my other foot with a design that was made by my daughter 8yrs old that she personally did and using even detail that she has drawn and just having it transferred over to transfer paper.
It is something special to me, it is 3 butterflies with a vine and 2 roses. My three children are the butterflies and the roses represent me and their fathers love for them.
She put herself as a guardian angle because she told me that it was her job to fill my shoes and watch over the boys when I am gone. What more can you ever ask for from a sweet 8 year old??
