Ta Moko on my Ankle

My tattoo design is unique to my area, Te Uri O Tai, Pawarenga, and affiliate to Te Aupouri and Te Rarawa. My Ta Moko artist is Daniel McGrath.

The 'niho taniwha' design represent the hardship and difficulty i have overcome in my life, the other designs represent my children and supportive partner, this design isn't finished as it will continue over the top of my foot like a jandal and go up the other side of my ankle.

The rest of the design will represent my grandparents, father and other members of my family who are significant to the woman i am now. The design will be finished in about 3 years after my graduation from teacher training college :) my graduation present to myself, and by then i will have more to add to it.
