Sailor Tattoo

My tattoo signifies home. As a kid my family moved a lot. We have been up and down the east coast many times. Every single time we moved I found comfort in putting glow in the dark stars all over my ceiling.

No matter where I went I always had a set of glow in the dark stars to look at before I went to sleep. In a way I knew I was going to be alright no matter what when I stared up at the ceiling and saw those stars until they faded away.

While deciding what my first tattoo was going to be a did my research on swallows and nautical stars. They both fall under the category of sailor style tattoos and they both are a symbol of guiding you back home. I will always remember home when I look at my tattoo.

I spent a total of 3 1/2 hours on this tattoo. And this tattoo was done by a fresh artist named Jay.
