New School Swallow Tattoos

I decided on the swallows a while ago when I was researching tattoos of family. The swallows ability to always lead the way home to lost sailors represented to me that my family will always be where I left them and will always be there for me.

Each swallow too an hour to do – I got the right one first and was convinced that was it but I loved the design so much I went back and got the other one.

My original design was more traditional and was not coloured but my tattooist (Mark of the Gypsy, Fairfield, Sydney, Australia) decided to add the colour and the new wave style as it suited my personality better.
