Kanji Tattoo - Meaning Unknown

Mistranslated kanji tattoo?

I and two other friends all got matching tats, it was supposed to mean COURAGE, then we were later told it meant BRAVE. I have searched for hours online. The closest i can find means CURSED or MOON or HAPPINESS. Would really like to know what it says on my back! I am extremely upset about the cursed.
