I found this in a Smithsonian calendar about 10 yrs ago and just recently got it done. (You know the rule of thumb - pick a design and what a year.) The research I did on it indicates that is an Owl, from an unnamed Alaskan Tribe (to the best of my knowledge).

First session took about 7 hours. That included the outline (going up) and partial fill (going down). Second session took about 4.5 hours. I need to go back and get some touch-ups still. It's too cold right now and I'm too lazy.
