Foot Tattoo

my tattoo is of a green tree snake and an iris and two lilies. this tattoo took just over four hours in the chair and was so painful but it was worth it. my artists name was shane and he is an employee of the well known dwayne cash in cairns.

the tattoo means a lot to me as it is a tribute to my father that has passed. the snake symbolizes my father and the flowers, my mother. the two together obviously symbolizes their time together as a couple. a lot of the time you see tattoos of snakes with fangs and tongues hanging out i didnt want this as it was too superficial for what i wanted.

i wanted the snake and flowers to have a kind of intimacy between each other. i think shane did a fantastic job, and every day i fall in love with it even more.
