I like the way you think. So many chicks (and guys) get tattoos and don't see beyond that one tattoo. As a result they have a tattoo done that you can't really do anything else with. You know the cliched lower back tribal design that you see everywhere? The only thing you can do with shit like that is cover it up.
I would work with the floral theme you have going on. Maybe even introduce some Japanese elements or even certain types of birds like honey eater or humming bird. Just some suggestions...
