Beware this 'Little Darling'Bites

I grew up in the Hardcore and Punk Music scene. It influenced my life and still continues to be a major part of what drives me. I am a strong advocate for Pit bulls and other supposedly “dangerous” breeds and I work very hard writing to legislator’s in opposition of breed specific bans under the concept “punish the deed not the breed.” I am vegan, a huge fan of animals, and I love movies, music, my dogs, my husband, and my friends.

Where did you get your tattoos done?

My first tattoo was on my back, done by Jeff Rassier when 222 still existed in San Francisco, CA.

Next was a Mermaid on my right calf by Jo Ann Atwood who is now based out of Edmonton Alberta, Canada. It was done at 3rd Eye Tattoo in Brooklyn, NY.

My dogs on my right arm are by Jon Clue who is in Long Island, NY at Resonance Tattoo. My key hole heart on my right arm is by Mike Oliver, a good friend of mine who works out of Chris Gamm’s Under the Gun Saloon in Deptford, NJ

When did you start getting inked?

My first tattoo was done when I was about 20 years old. I wanted to wait until I really knew what I wanted. It was a major transition point in my life in which I wanted to signify with my tattoo.

Describe your tattoos?

My back piece is a traditional pin up girl with skulls for breasts, a black rose, spider web, and horse shoe. She is more or less a “Lady Luck” character. My mermaid is pretty self explanatory. The dogs on my right arm are the closest to my heart. They are portraits of the loves of my life. The bottom dog is Carla Lou, my first dog that I ever had once I was on my own. She is a red nose rescued pit.

Howie is above Carla Lou. He is part greyhound and part Pit Bull. I wanted a vintage floral scheme around them, similar to the flowers you see in vintage wallpaper.

The heart keyhole is my most recent tattoo. My husband is going to get a skeleton key tattooed since he is the key holder to my heart.

I want to get colorful dog bones around the dog piece with other really cutesy designs around it. I also want mandalas on my elbows or on my chest. I am not sure yet, which is why I haven’t moved forward.

Favorite tattoo artist?

I really like Bugs style. Jon Clue and Mike Oliver are two artists that I think are incredible. I wouldn’t say I have a “favorite”

What projects are you working on?

At the moment, I am more focused on the dance company Crush Cabaret (.com) that I am co-director/choreographer for, with my good friend Courtney.

I am also the co-captain of Devil Dolls 666, these are the two things that I have put all of my energy into as of late. You can see Devil Dolls on myspace.com/thedevildolls

What are your favorite hangouts?

Since I’m vegan, I’m usually really hungry. I eat at Kingdom of Vegetarian’s and Gianna’s pretty often in Philly. I love Red Bamboo in NYC.

I like to head to New Hope, PA for drinks and to Sugar Mom’s in Philly. When I was still living in New York, 7B and Manitoba’s were my haunts.
