Its a custom drawn phoenix that wraps around the bicep with the tail leading down just past the elbow, First stage is complete, with 2 more sittings to be done for colour and shade. The background consists of smoke, clouds, and fire.
The artist who is doing this design has been to Japan and gotten ink done by one of the world renowned artists in Japan.
