Chinese or Japanese Kanji Tattoo

I chose the tattoo colors and it took about 20 minutes to complete. It was on the wall in the tat shop and had the meaning of STRENGTH underneath it, but I didnt verify its meaning before getting it.

No-one in 3 years has been able to tell me its true meaning and I've done all kinds of online searching. Will someone please help me figure this out? I would be very happy to finally figure this out whether its good or not.
