A Tattoo Gone Wrong

Bad Tat

Hi, Rich here. I just bought a tattoo gun and it came with needles, practice skin, ink, designs, etc. I used the tattoo skin for a couple of weeks and I thought "I'm ready to go now"!

Well long story short I did a tattoo for my buddy and it came out bad, His tattoo looks like a scar or burn instead of the design I applied to his skin. The outline came out good but the shading is where the rubber met the road.

He is pretty pissed off at me and he's avoiding me now, even when i said I'd pay for him to go to a professional. If anyone has any suggestions I'll be grateful to listen and use your advice. Thanks :(
