Looks like besides a possible ink reaction (Naphtha Red seems to react the least, for next time), it also looks like you went too deep (and went too far off vertical when lining) on the outline, see the blurry shadow of ink coming out from under the outline?
The colored area looks like you also chopped him up by staying in one area too long and/or had the machine set at too fast a speed for the speed at which you were moving while shading/coloring.
Human skin is A LOT more delicate than rubber practice skin, and if you tried to put in ink the same way you did on the rubber, then you chopped the hell out of your victim/friend.
If it is a serious red reaction, he'll probably have to have it removed. If it's not, and it's from chopping him up, he'll have to let it heal very well before trying removal, or touch ups, and even then he may have residual scaring.

Bad reaction perhaps? by: Anonymous
I could be an extreme reaction to the red ink. There is something in red ink which causes inflammation in some people.

Could you not of practiced on a pig or something?? I would recommend getting it covered up. Laser removal is a long and much more painful process. Not to mention the cost which can run into the thousands.
